WRAL's Crabtree hosts webcast with Desmond Tutu
WRAL News anchor David Crabtree hosted a webcast Saturday with Archbishop Desmond Tutu and the Rev. Katharine Jefferts Schori at the Washington National Cathedral in Washington, D.C.

Tutu is a cleric and activist who rose to worldwide fame during the 1980s as an opponent of apartheid, according to NationalCathedral.org. He was elected and ordained the first black South African Anglican Archbishop of Cape Town, South Africa, and primate of the Church of the Province of Southern Africa (now the Anglican Church of Southern Africa). He was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 1984.
Jefferts Schori is chief pastor to the Episcopal Church’s 2.4 million members in 16 countries and 110 dioceses as well as its ecumenical officer and primate, joining leaders of the other 38 Anglican Provinces in consultation for global good and reconciliation. She was elected at the 75th General Convention on June 18, 2006, and was formally invested at Washington National Cathedral on Nov. 4, 2006.
Crabtree was ordained in 2004 as a vocational deacon in the Episcopal Church.
