Triangle United Way CEO to retire

Craig Chancellor, president and CEO of United Way of the Greater Triangle, plans to retire from the position at the end of the year, the organization announced Thursday.

RALEIGH, N.C. — Craig Chancellor, president and CEO of United Way of the Greater Triangle, plans to retire from the position at the end of the year, the organization announced Thursday.

Chancellor served in the role since January 2002. Before coming to the Triangle, he worked for the United Way in Ohio, Wisconsin and Michigan – 37 years in all with the organization.

“I’m also fortunate to have worked with very smart, innovative and dedicated staff who are committed to helping others working for community betterment,” Chancellor said in a statement.

John Anthony, chairman of the United Way of the Greater Triangle Board of Directors, said the organization would begin a nationwide search for its next leader.
