Former Wake interim superintendent gets new job
Donna Hargens, who served as interim superintendent in the Wake County Public School System for most of 2010, has accepted a job as superintendent in Louisville, Ky., district spokesman Michael Evans said Tuesday.

RALEIGH, N.C. — Donna Hargens, who served as interim superintendent in the Wake County Public School System for most of 2010, has accepted a job as superintendent in Louisville, Ky., district spokesman Michael Evans said Tuesday.
Hargens was the district's chief academic officer.
She was named to the interim post in March 2010 after outgoing Superintendent Del Burns was placed on administrative leave for controversial remarks he made about the school board.
