Mortdecai

A look at the new films hitting theaters this weekend:

Mortdecai (R, Action/Comedy, Starring Johnny Depp, Ewan McGregor, Paul Bettany, Gwyneth Paltrow, Aubrey Plaza) - Juggling some angry Russians, the British Mi5, his impossibly leggy wife and an international terrorist, debonair art dealer and part time rogue Charlie Mortdecai must traverse the globe armed only with his good looks and special charm in a race to recover a stolen painting rumored to contain the code to a lost bank account filled with Nazi gold.
The Boy Next Door (R, Thriller, Starring Jennifer Lopez, Ryan Guzman, John Corbett, Ian Nelson, Kristin Chenoweth) - A psychological thriller that explores a forbidden attraction that goes much too far.
Strange Magic (PG, Scifi/family, Starring Alan Cumming, Evan Rachel Wood, Kristin Chenoweth, Maya Rudolph, Sam Palladio) - This is a madcap fairy tale musical inspired by 'A Midsummer Night's Dream.' Popular songs from the past six decades help tell the tale of a colorful cast of goblins, elves, fairies and imps, and their hilarious misadventures sparked by the battle over a powerful potion.
Cake (R, Drama, Starring Jennifer Aniston, Anna Kendrick, Britt Robertson, Lucy Punch, Sam Worthington, Chris Messina) - Claire Simmons suffers from chronic pain. The suicide of Nina, one of Claire’s fellow chronic-pain group members, prompts her to explore the boundaries between life and death, abandonment and heartbreak, danger and salvation.
