SnickerDoodles, a new indoor play space for young children in north Raleigh, will open to the public Thursday.

Regular hours are 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., weekdays with some weekends and extended hours from time to time. It's at 3721 Lynn Rd., Raleigh.

It's free to drop in and play in their play space, which includes a play house area, reading nook, trains and other toys best for babies to preschoolers. To support the business, SnickerDoodles also will sell snacks, including snickerdoodle cookies, of course; beverages, including Larry's Coffee; and other items. For $5 to $10, visitors can get involved in activities in the Messy Art Studio.

SnickerDoodles, the creation of two local moms, will host birthday parties and offer options for private play groups.

A grand opening celebration is planned for 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., Sept. 25.

Can't wait to check SnickerDoodles out this week!
