Nelly, Alan Jackson headline NC Azalea Fest this week in Wilmington
The North Carolina Azalea Festival runs through Sunday in Wilmington.

WILMINGTON, N.C. — The North Carolina Azalea Festival kicks off Wednesday in Wilmington. The annual event runs through Sunday and will feature music, a street fair and art.
This year's entertainment includes rapper Nelly, who will play the main stage Friday night. Tickets are $35 in advance and $45 the day-of. Country star Alan Jackson will perform Thursday night. Those tickets are $49.50 in advance and $59.50 the day-of.
More highlights this year:
- April 9-12: Cole Bros. Circus Big Top featuring exotic animals.
- April 10-12: Cape Fear Garden Club Azalea Garden Tour - one of the most popular events.
- April 10-12: Street Fair featuring arts and crafts, food vendors and more. (free)
- April 11: Parade through downtown Wilmington from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. (free)
- April 11: Fireworks over the Cape Fear River at 9 p.m. (free)
- April 11: Saturday Night Block Party featuring live music (free)
