RALEIGH, N.C. — A Raleigh man was arrested Monday morning after a North Carolina State University student was robbed on campus, police said.

A student called campus police shortly before 10 a.m. to report that he had been robbed at knifepoint near the E.S. King Village, a group of university housing buildings for graduate students and their families. The student said the robber was running toward Method Road and Ligon Street.

Campus police said they saw a suspect running into a wooded area near Hutton and Ligon streets, and they and Raleigh police apprehended him after a brief search.

Michael Anthony Hinton, 18, of 2910 Woods Place, was charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon.
