NCSU: Campus water safe for drinking, cooking
Ban lifted on water consumption.
Posted — UpdatedRALEIGH, N.C. — North Carolina State University officials said Thursday that water on the main campus is safe for drinking and cooking again.
The campus issued a warning Wednesday advising people to avoid water consumption after an odor was identified at three locations near Cates Avenue. Initial tests indicated the water was safe, and officials said they will continue to monitor water quality.
Those on campus may notice cloudy water flowing from taps, which is a result of system flushing and not a cause for concern, officials said.
