The North Carolina Symphony announced plans Friday to perform for free June 4 in Tarboro and June 5 in Chapel Hill.

Symphony Associate Conductor David Glover will lead the orchestra light classics to include Edvard Grieg’s Suite No. 1 from Peer Gynt, Op. 46, the overture to The Marriage of Figaro by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Franz Liszt’s Hungarian Rhapsody, the overture to the Barber of Seville by Gioachino Rossini and more.
The Symphony’s summer “Concerts in Your Community” take place for free throughout the state and are sponsored by local businesses.
