NC soldier dies after being injured in Afghanistan

A 21-year-old solider from North Carolina died Friday at Landstuhl Medical Center in Germany from injuries he sustained while fighting Aug. 14 in Wardak province, Afghanistan.

GROVER, N.C. — A 21-year-old solider from North Carolina died Friday at Landstuhl Medical Center in Germany from injuries he sustained while fighting Aug. 14 in Wardak province, Afghanistan. 

Spc. James A. Justice, of Grover, sustained small-arms fire injuries while supporting Operation Enduring Freedom.

Justice was assigned to the 2nd Batallion, 503rd Infantry Regiment, 173rd Airborne Brigade Combat Team, Caserma Ederle in Vicenza, Italy.
