N.C. Symphony presents a new spin on 'Green Eggs and Ham' Saturday
Rob Kapilow, composer of The Polar Express, puts his unique spin on the classic Dr. Seuss story with help from the N.C. Symphony.
Posted — UpdatedThe symphony also usually offers special activities before the concert too. On Saturday, you'll find UNC Kids Club mascot Read-A-Roo there. Marbles Kids Museum will offer an activity. And the symphony's Instrument Zoo will be ready for kids to check out different instruments.
I recommend getting there early as there often can be longer lines for the zoo, especially if you think your child may want to try out more than a couple of the instruments.
The concert is scheduled for 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. Saturday at the Progress Energy Center for Performing Arts in Raleigh. Tickets are $20. (To file away for next year: The symphony offers season tickets for the series. This year, the series package was $30 total - or $10 for each concert).
