N.C. Man Arrested in Conn. Drug Bust

A major drug bust in Connecticut has landed a North Carolina man in jail.

NEW HAVEN, CONN. — A major drug bust in Connecticut has landed a North Carolina man in jail.

Dennis Thompson, 54, of 153 Snow Hill Road in Franklin, faces several drug charges after investigators on Thursday evening observed a large recreational motor home going onto property under surveillance in Woodbridge, Conn.

Afterward, investigators executed a search warrant on the motor home and the property and seized 588 pounds of marijuana worth an estimated $1.8 million.

They also seized $102,000 in cash, firearms, drug paraphernalia and other illegal drugs either in the vehicle or on the property.

Police also seized several other vehicles, including three Harley Davidson motorcycles.

Thompson, who faces charges including possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell, was in jail Friday evening under a $500,000.

Two other people -- Edward Jevarjian, 54, of Woodbridge, and Misty Lynn White, 43, of Austin, Texas, also face a number of charges. Jevarjian was released on bond and White was in jail under a $500,000 bond Friday.
