Greensboro-area songwriter Laurelyn Dossett has put together one of the more interesting pieces of media surrounding the marriage amendment question on the May 8 ballot.

Her online video, "Vote Against Amendment One," filmed by Greensboro filmmaker Harvey Robinson, taps both Triad-area musical talent and political leaders like Greensboro Mayor Robbie Perkins to speak against the amendment.

The folk tune and lyrics are overlaid with people commenting on the ballot measure. It's embedded here for discussion and your listening pleasure or displeasure, depending on which side of the issue you fall upon.

By way of full disclosure, I worked with Molly McGinn, who appears in the video, back when she was a reporter.

If anyone sees something similar from the pro-amendment side, e-mail it my way.
