Motorcyclist killed in Wayne County crash
A motorcyclist was killed Tuesday when he rear-ended a pickup truck on N.C. Highway 55 in Wayne County, according to the state Highway Patrol.

Mike Roger Dawson, 64, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Troopers said Dawson was riding east on the highway, just west of Seven Springs, when the crash happened. No one in the pickup truck was injured.
A cause of the crash has not been determined.
Weather was not a factor, troopers said. It didn't begin raining in Wayne County until after the crash.
