Motorcyclist dies in Raleigh wreck

A 31-year-old motorcyclist died Sunday after a teenage driver pulled into his path, according to Raleigh police.

RALEIGH, N.C. — A 31-year-old motorcyclist died Sunday after a teenage driver pulled into his path, according to Raleigh police.

Rubin Maurice Smith, of Anson County, was southbound on Creedmoor Road at about 3:30 p.m. when a northbound Lincoln Navigator made a left-hand turn on to Howard Road, police said. Smith crashed into the Navigator and died.

Justin Clarence Webster-Coleman, 16, was driving the SUV, police said, and his 13-year-old sister was also in the vehicle. Neither was injured.

The crash remains under investigation, and no charges have been filed.
