Motorcyclist charged with fleeing police, DWI
State troopers said that a motorcyclist ran from a traffic stop on the Beltline at speeds up to 120 mph and then crashed in a neighborhood off Six Forks Road Saturday night, seriously injuring himself.

Trooper M.K. Young said that troopers followed Matthew Bonezzi, 27, for miles along Interstate 40 as he drove recklessly, popping wheelies and weaving through traffic.
When he tried to pull Bonezzi over, Young said, the motorcyclist sped away down Six Forks Road. A chase went on for three miles on Six Forks until Bonezzi wrecked while trying to do a 90-degree turn at 80 mph in the Crestview neighborhood, troopers said.
Bonezzi was listed in fair condition at WakeMed Monday morning.
Troopers have charged Bonezzi with DWI, reckless driving, running a red light and failing to stop for blue lights and sirens. A charge of felony speeding to elude arrest was pending.
