Moss: Chilly temps will warm up, but not by much
A cold front from the west entered the viewing area Saturday, bringing with it cold air that will last for much of Sunday and into the new work week.

"We made it to 77 degrees early Saturday afternoon, but a gusty cold front has left us in a much cooler airmass today," said WRAL meteorologist Mike Moss. The cold front came in from the northwest Saturday afternoon, bringing with it air that will make for a rather windy start to the week.
"The funneling air from the northwest coming in to North Carolina will leave us rather windy at times with gusts up to 25 miles per hour," said Moss.
"It will be cool Sunday, with very low humidity, and the dry conditions make it another day to avoid outdoor burning."
The cold air will continue into Monday, but not much additional air will be coming in, so the day could be a few degrees warmer than Sunday, with highs in the mid 50s.
Thanksgiving forecast
Temperatures should start warming up on Tuesday before another front arrives late Wednesday, bringing with it the possibility of some light rain into Thursday morning. Skies should be clear by late morning on Thanksgiving, though, and the day will be mild, with highs in the 60s.
