More Saturday trick-or-treating: Pittsboro, Siler City
Most trick or treating will happen on Sunday, but a few places are moving it to Saturday.

Just a note to highlight that I have updated the original "When is Halloween" post with details on trick-or-treating for Pittsboro, Siler City and Wilson after checking with officials.
Trick-or-treating is Saturday in Pittsboro. Leaders in Siler City "strongly encourage" trick-or-treating on Saturday, which is the day downtown merchants will hold their Halloween Hoopla.
It is Sunday in Wilson.
I received an email yesterday from a reader that said that Chatham County also was asking people to trick or treat on Saturday. I spoke with the county spokeswoman and she told me this morning that Chatham County does not declare when Halloween will be celebrated (which generally means that people will go trick-or-treating on Sunday).
