More charges have been filed against two men arrested last month in connection with three sexual assaults in Cumberland County, authorities said Monday.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — More charges have been filed against two men arrested last month in connection with three sexual assaults in Cumberland County, authorities said Monday.

The Cumberland County Sheriff's Office is charging Cedric Maurice King, 22, of 685 Barton's Landing, and Clifton Lamar Hayes, 27, of 1148 Nan St., with first-degree forcible sex offense, robbery with a dangerous weapon, conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon and assault on a female.

King and Hayes were arrested Dec. 16 and charged with kidnapping a woman at gunpoint from the Eutaw Village Shopping Center parking lot and raping and robbing her in a rural part of the county. They also were charged with picking up two women, driving them to a wooded area of the county and forcing them to perform sexual acts.

Both men remain in the Cumberland County jail under $2.5 million bonds.
