HALIFAX, N.C. — Halifax County sheriff's officials arrested a 52-year-old Monroe man on Saturday and charged him with misusing the 911 system.

Bradley Walker Wilson made several non-emergency calls to Halifax County 911, according to authorities. During those calls, he threatened to assault deputies, used abusive language and tried to get a ride, officials said.

During the investigation, authorities said they discovered that Wilson had an outstanding order for arrest from Mecklenburg County for failure to appear on charges for misuse of 911 systems.

Wilson was jailed under a $1,750 bond. He has a court date in Halifax County on Aug. 26 and a court date in Mecklenburg County on Sept. 2.
