RALEIGH, N.C. — Capitol Bureau Chief Laura Leslie and investigative reporter Mark Binker recap another crazy day at the state legislature.

Catching up on Monday's events, police records suggest that the Moral Monday protests are homegrown, while controversy continues to swirl within the state Democratic Party.

On Tuesday, the state Senate unveiled an "aggressive" tax reform bill.

Coming up Wednesday, lawmakers will take up the Racial Justice Act repeal and a firearms bill that would eliminate pistol purchase permits and expand where people with concealed handgun permits can take their guns.
