RALEIGH, N.C. — Monday starts the week off on a wet note with rain likely for most of the Triangle.

Scattered showers will sweep across the region during much of the day, but none of the weather is expected to be severe, WRAL meteorologist Elizabeth Gardner said.

"Take along your rain gear – we're looking at an unsettled day," she said. "It will be cloudy, breezy. We'll see showers on and off."

The high in Raleigh is expected to reach the mid-60s on Monday before dropping to 60 on Tuesday.

"Tuesday looks fairly bright," Gardner said. "That cold front will be to our south. Temperatures should not cool down that much behind the front, and Tuesday should be a nice day for us."

By Wednesday, however, there will be a good chance of rain and a noticeable change in the warmth. The high Wednesday is expected to be 50.

"Wednesday will be a wetter day for us," Gardner said.
