Mild temps on tap, but cold front on the way
Mild, pleasant weather conditions will prevail throughout work week, but a cold front on the way promises to push down temperatures over the weekend.
Posted — UpdatedTriangle residents awoke Tuesday to humidity and patchy fog that will dissipate by mid-morning as the mercury rises to a high of 72 degrees.
“It is nice and mild this morning. It looks like it will remain mild for a couple of days,” WRAL meteorologist Elizabeth Gardner said.
A stationary front just north of the state will keep conditions cloudy for the rest of the week with a chance of rain. Regional temperatures will stay in the 70s through Saturday, when a cold front begins migrating into the area.
“It’s going to be a fairly wet day Friday, and behind it some cooler temperatures,” Gardner said.
The forecast for Saturday calls for a high of 71 degrees on Saturday and 61 degrees on Sunday. Monday’s high is expected to reach 63.
