Triangle residents awoke Tuesday to humidity and patchy fog that will dissipate by mid-morning as the mercury rises to a high of 72 degrees.

“It is nice and mild this morning. It looks like it will remain mild for a couple of days,” WRAL meteorologist Elizabeth Gardner said.

Hi, everyone. Meteorologist Anthony Baglione here on this Saturday. Hopefully you've had a great start to this weekend. Of course, we've been tracking some showers and storms across the area. Notice there's a big storm complex though, down to the south, I think even the airports down there flying through Atlanta could be a big issue. Uh, with that storm system. Currently, let's talk about though where we are headed as we get into tonight. Here's a look at rain chances. So I think as we go into the heart of, let's say, early tomorrow morning, we're going to start to see this really taper off here for the majority of us, 30% chance there right around three o'clock in the morning. And as you're headed out to church services getting breakfast Sunday morning, most of us will be pretty quiet. I do not anticipate a lot of rainfall tomorrow. Here's a look at future cast. We go into tonight just scattered off and on showers and storms. Some of them could be a little bit stronger with some gusty winds, maybe some flash flood warnings coming out. Otherwise we get into tonight looking calmer by the time we get to early Sunday morning, a lot of cloud cover. But for the majority of us, we're looking at a dry forecast to start, maybe a spotty shower through the rest of the day. There could be a few peaks of sunshine for the most part though. We're going to see a lot of cloud cover stick around and then maybe into the evening, some sunshine peeking through only 74 tomorrow afternoon. Compare to where we started the weekend off, it's gonna feel a little bit cooler. We were in the eighties for our Saturday for most of us. Here's a look though. At the next seven, we go to 74 tomorrow, 77 on Monday, 83 Tuesday, 87 on Wednesday back at 90 on Thursday. And then another system comes in there, Friday and Saturday that we'll be watching. Looks like Friday Night would be our best chance of some showers and storms coming through. I know a lot of people potentially getting ready to travel for the holiday. We're going to watch that. But as it stands now, it looks like Friday Night would be the best time frame to see that. Otherwise we'll continue to watch as we head into tonight again, scattered showers and storms and then a much better forecast, cloud stick around, but better as in a drier forecast as we get into our Sunday.

A stationary front just north of the state will keep conditions cloudy for the rest of the week with a chance of rain. Regional temperatures will stay in the 70s through Saturday, when a cold front begins migrating into the area.

“It’s going to be a fairly wet day Friday, and behind it some cooler temperatures,” Gardner said.

The forecast for Saturday calls for a high of 71 degrees on Saturday and 61 degrees on Sunday. Monday’s high is expected to reach 63.
