Get to know her in this Q&A below:

How many children, pets, family members are you caring for?

I am mom to my 10 year-old daughter Charlotte and sons Henry, age 7 and 2 year-old Jack. We adopted our dog Snitch during the pandemic and he has been part of our family for a year now.

What type of parent would you describe yourself as?

I'd call myself a monogramming mom. Blame my southern upbringing, or the fact that I hate to lose things, but I put their names on everything. I'd consider myself a parent who never hides my love and adoration for my children, but understands that flaws and challenges help kids grow to be great adults.

What has been the most rewarding part of parenting or caregiving?

Seeing my kids try new things until they find what they love is one of my favorite things about being a parent.

What are some of the biggest challenges you have faced in your life?

Postpartum Anxiety following the birth of each of my children was hard. Fortunately, I sought help from professionals and I learned to prioritize my mental health in motherhood.

What are some of the stories or topics you are excited to write about and share on WRAL?

I'm looking forward to sharing my family's experiences of what makes growing up in the Triangle so great.
