McDonald's McTeacher's Nights support schools across region this week
School staff will be behind the counter at area McDonald's to raise money for their schools.
Posted — UpdatedLocal principals, teachers and other school employees will be behind the counter at many McDonald's this week during special McTeacher's Nights to raise money for local schools.
From Monday to Friday at McDonald's across the region, school staffers will be greeting customers, working the registers, serving drinks and even helping with food preparation. School volunteers will serve as hosts and cheerleaders for the evening. The regional event hosted by McDonald's across the state has raised more than $600,000 for local schools in the past nine years.
Here are the events in our area and the schools and programs that they will support:
- Friendship Christian, Monday from 5 to 8 p.m. at McDonald’s (6213 Falls of Neuse Rd., Raleigh)
- Sycamore Creek Elementary, Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at McDonald’s (10100 Leesville Rd., Raleigh)
- Washington Elementary, Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at McDonald’s (703 W. Peace St., Raleigh)
- Douglas Elementary, Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at McDonald’s (7301 Six Forks Rd., Raleigh)
- Wendell Elementary, Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. at McDonald’s (2900 Wendell Blvd., Raleigh)
- Casa Esperanza Montessori School, Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at McDonald’s (6250 Capital Blvd., Raleigh)
- Plain View Elementary School, Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at McDonald’s (1185 E. Cumberland St., Dunn)
- Midway Middle School, Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at McDonald’s (1726 W. Cumberland St., Dunn)
