For at least a few years now one of the prizes on the midway has been a very depressed-looking UNC Ram. I don't see any down Devils, or woeful Wolves, or tearful Terrapins. Just sad rams. This year, I even saw one on the midway whose horns were uncurled, making it look like a ram with pigtails.
This year, the rams are accompanied by another UNC mascot -- bears with sweatshirts.
Did I miss something? Is the bear the extra mascot for UNC?
I saw a bear with a Carolina-blue sweatshirt with the UNC logo, which makes sense. Then I saw one with a UNC-logo sweatshirt, but the shirt was pink. ?
At least the bears look happier than the rams. Though since we are at the Fair, I think they should just go all the way over and have Spongebobs with UNC sweatshirts, and maybe inflatable UNC baseball bats.
