Mark your calendars: Vet college open house

There are a few big annual events that I get asked about each year and this is one of them!

N.C. State Veterinary Medicine will host its annual open house from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., April 23, at the campus off Hillsborough Street in Raleigh.

The annual event offers a chance for the public (of all ages) to learn more about what happens at the college with hands-on activities; behind-the-scenes tours; and demonstrations, including dog agility and animal care. Kids will enjoy seeing chicks, cows, horses, turkeys, goats and pigs up close at the Teaching Animal Unit.
