Since October, I've noticed that Marbles Kids Museum has added some 45-minute, kid-friendly animated features to its roster of documentaries and feature films at its IMAX theater.
Most recently, it was "Olivia's Wintertime Cheer," a collection of three short features that total about 45 minutes and are based on the popular children's book character. It opened last weekend.

The series began with "Spookley the Square Pumpkin" in October and continued with "Thomas & Friends: Day of the Diesels."

Katy Hipp Burgwyn of Marbles tells me that Marbles plans to continue the series since it's been so popular with museum guests. I think the movies are the perfect length - at about 45 minutes - for Marbles' younger visitors.

"Olivia" will play through the holidays and possibly into January. Depending on the titles available, Marbles will release a new movie each month. And they expect to put "Thomas & Friends" back on the screen too at some point.

Tickets are $8.95 for ages 12 to 59; $7.95 for ages 60 and up; and $6.50 for ages 1 to 11. A combo pass that includes admission to both Marbles Kids Museum and the film is $12.95 for ages 12 to 59; $11.95 for ages 60 and up; and $9.95 for ages 1 to 11. (Admission to Marbles Kids Museum on its own is $5 per person).

Children under age 1 are admitted free to the IMAX theater and Marbles Kids Museum. For sold out IMAX shows, a child under age 1 with no ticket must sit in the lap of a paying visitor.
