ROSEBORO, N.C. — Cumberland County sheriff's deputies arrested a man and woman in separate cases involving allegations of sexual abuse of children Friday.

Dana  Fisher, 32, of 12426 Broadwater Bridge Road in Roseboro, faces charges of statutory rape, first-degree kidnapping and taking indecent liberties with a child.

Cory Neal Gorham, 20, of 3745 Abby Lane in Lumberton, is charged with crimes against nature, taking indecent liberties with a minor and a statutory sex offense.

Investigators said that Fisher fraudulently obtained permission from a 14-year-old girl's parents for a sleepover at her house. The girl told deputies that Fisher touched her inappropriately several times in October and November.

Gorham is accused of forcing a 13-year-old girl into a sexual relationship with him and to perform sexual acts on him. Investigators said the encounters occurred at the victim's home in October.

Gorham was being held in the Cumberland County Detention Center under a $150,000 bond Friday. His first court appearance was set for Monday.

Fisher was being processed at the detention center late Friday, so her bond and court date had not been set.
