Man stabbed in fight over game system

A 17-year-old from Roanoke Rapids is accused of stabbing another man Sunday after being accused of stealing the victim's game system.

ROANOKE RAPIDS, N.C. — A 17-year-old from Roanoke Rapids is accused of stabbing another man Sunday after being accused of stealing the victim's game system.

Deputies said Almonzo Mills, of Roanoke Rapids, confronted Divante Jacquan Lee, of Thomas Jefferson Drive, at 514 Grant Drive. During a fight, Lee stabbed Mills in the back and on the hand and also broke his leg, deputies said.

Lee was arrested and charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury. He was being held in the Halifax County Jail under a $10,000 bond. His first court appearance was set fro Dec. 9.
