Man sought in Raleigh bank robbery

Raleigh police are asking for the public's help to find a man wanted in connection with a robbery at a local bank near Six Forks Road Thursday afternoon.

RALEIGH, N.C. — Raleigh police are asking for the public's help to find a man wanted in connection with a robbery at a bank near Six Forks Road Thursday afternoon.

A masked man wearing sunglasses, a jacket and a cap robbed the BB&T branch at 3701 Barrett Drive around 2:15 p.m. Surveillance video images show the man to be white, about 5 feet 9 inches tall and around 165 pounds. He was wearing blue jeans and sneakers.

Police say he then fled the scene, but they aren't sure if it was on foot or in a vehicle.

Anyone with information that could help investigators is asked to contact Raleigh Crime Stoppers at 919-834-4357. Crime Stoppers, as well as the North Carolina Bankers Association, pays cash rewards for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of anyone involved.
