Man sought in Holly Springs armed robbery

Holly Springs police were searching on Friday for a man wanted in connection with an armed robbery at a KFC/Taco Bell restaurant off the N.C. Highway 55 bypass.

HOLLY SPRINGS, N.C. — Holly Springs police were searching on Friday for a man wanted in connection with an armed robbery at a KFC/Taco Bell restaurant off the N.C. Highway 55 bypass. 

According to authorities, the man robbed the restaurant around 8:40 p.m. Thursday after approaching the counter wearing a mask and displaying a gun. 

No shots were fired and no employees or customers were injured, but the man did steal an undisclosed amount of money, police said. Authorities said the robber was a black man wearing a blue shirt and khaki pants.
