RAEFORD, N.C. — One person is in the hospital and another is in jail Tuesday after a home invasion in Hoke County last week.

The Hoke County Sheriff's Office said deputies responded to 101 White Chapel Lane on June 1 after reports of a break-in. One of the suspects in the home invasion, Gregory Paul Lowrie, had been shot, authorities said.

He remained in critical condition at Cape Fear Valley Hospital in Fayetteville Tuesday.

Over the course of the investigation, the sheriff's office identified several other suspects. One of them, Lora Rose McNeill, was arrested in Fayetteville and taken to the Hoke County jail, where she was being held under a $500,000 bond.

More arrests are expected.
