Man robs pizza joint in Burlington

Burlington police are searching for a man who robbed a Little Caesars Pizza at gunpoint Friday night.

BURLINGTON, N.C. — Burlington police are searching for a man who robbed a Little Caesars Pizza at gunpoint Friday night.

The robbery happened about 6 p.m. at the store in the 2100 block of South Church Street. Employees told police that a man entered the business, showed a gun and demanded money. One of the employees was assaulted during the robbery but did not require medical treatment.

The suspect was described as a black man, about 5 feet 5 inches to 5 feet 7 inches tall, wearing a black ski mask, black gloves and a black hooded sweatshirt. He had an average build and was last seen running toward May Drive.
