Man Protests War During Military Parade

A 21-year-old war protester was arrested for disorderly conduct during the Salute to Our Troops parade in downtown Raleigh on Saturday.

RALEIGH, N.C. — A 21-year-old war protester was arrested for disorderly conduct during the Salute to Our Troops parade in downtown Raleigh on Saturday.

Daniel Lee Foster, of Fuquay-Varina, was lying down in the middle of Salisbury and Morgan Street in an attempt to block the parade, police said.

Foster told police he was trying to protest the war in Iraq.

Foster was being held Saturday on a $1,000 bond.
