Man injured in north Raleigh shooting

Raleigh police on Thursday were investigating a shooting incident that sent one man to the hospital around midnight.

RALEIGH, N.C. — Raleigh police on Thursday were investigating a shooting that sent one man to the hospital around midnight.

According to authorities, a man who was a passenger in a Ford Crown Victoria traveling on Green Road near Brockton Drive was grazed in the head by a bullet. The gunshot shattered the left rear passenger window of the car. 

When police arrived on the scene, they also found a white SUV that had been hit on Green Castle Court, off Brockton Drive. Authorities believe the Crown Victoria hit the SUV after the shooting. 

The passenger was taken to the hospital, treated and released, authorities said. His name was not released. 

Police have not made any arrests. No other information was released.
