Man in ICU after Fayetteville bar assault
FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — A man was recovering Friday after an aggravated assault outside a Fayetteville bar early Friday morning.

Police said that Jerome Rouse, 57, had been assaulted in the parking lot of the Dog House Bar and Grill at 3049 Owen Drive at about 1 a.m. Friday. Rouse sustained multiple facial fractures and other serious injuries. He remained in the Intensive Care Unit at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center Friday night.

Steven Thomas Porter, 28, of the 6400 block of Chamblee Drive in Fayetteville was arrested in connection to the incident and charged with assault inflicting serious bodily injury. He was being held at the Cumberland County Detention Facility on $15,000 secured bond.

Police are also looking for two unidentified men who they say were involved in the assault.
