Man implies he has a gun, approaches Raleigh woman

Raleigh police are investigating after a woman said she was approached by man, who implied he had a gun, while walking early Monday.

RALEIGH, N.C. — Raleigh police are investigating after a woman said she was approached by man, who implied he had a gun, while walking early Monday.

At approximately 5:45 a.m., the woman said she was walking along the 2600 block of Oxford Road when a man approached her.

The victim said the man demanded she go with him to a nearby wooded area. The woman, who did not see a gun, fled. She said the man didn’t follow her.

The white man was described as 6 feet tall and weighing about 195 pounds. He was wearing a navy-colored sweat suit and a navy-colored hat with unknown white lettering.
