Man gets life sentence in Moore store robbery, fatal shooting
One of four men charged in a 2010 robbery at a Moore County convenience store and the death of the clerk's husband has been sentenced to life in prison for the crime.

Randy Joel Williams, 20, pleaded guilty to nine charges, including first-degree murder, kidnapping and robbery with a dangerous weapon in the June 28, 2010, robbery of the Exxon Short Stop Food Mart in Lakeview.
Store clerk Grace Kelly and her husband, Angus Kelly, were shot in the robbery. Angus Kelly, 78, died two weeks later of his wounds.
Investigators said he had been in the parking lot while his 75-year-old wife worked the closing shift at the store. When the men tried to rob her at gunpoint, he exchanged gunfire with the robbers.
Williams was blinded in the exchange when shotgun pellets hit him in the face.
Because he was 17 at the time of the crime, he couldn't legally face the death penalty or a life sentence without the possibility of parole. So he will be eligible for parole as part of his plea agreement.
Two others charged in the case, Leroy Richard Medley, 22, and Paris Yusef Mack, 19, have already pleaded guilty in the case and are awaiting sentencing. A fourth defendant, Demarcus James Dennison, 20, faces a capital murder trial.
