Man faces weapons charge in fatal racetrack shooting
A Sampson County man faces a weapons charge in connection with a Sunday night shooting at a rural racetrack that left one dead, but no one has yet been charged in the slaying.

Torrey Tremayne Frederick, 32, of Ivanhoe, surrendered to police on Tuesday and was charged with possession of a firearm by a felon.
Authorities said Timothy McKoy, 29, of Garland, and another man began arguing at Harrells Raceway on Sunday when the other man pulled out a gun and began firing. McKoy was shot three times and died at the racetrack, and the gunman fled the area.
Sampson County Sheriff Jimmy Thornton has said authorities believe they know who the gunman is, but no description or identity has been released.
