Man dies after stabbing at Raleigh convenience store

The Raleigh Police Department is investigating a deadly stabbing that occurred at a convenience store on New Bern Avenue in Raleigh.

RALEIGH, N.C. — The Raleigh Police Department is investigating a deadly stabbing that occurred at a convenience store on New Bern Avenue in Raleigh.

At approximately 8:55 p.m. Thursday, officers responded to a report of a stabbing at the New Bern Mini Mart, located in the 1600 block of New Bern Avenue, according to Raleigh police.

Upon arrival, officers located an adult male suffering from stab wounds. The man, identified as Clifton McClam, 57, was taken to a hospital with serious injuries, where he later died.

There is no information at this time regarding the events leading up to the incident.
