Man dies after being struck by car in Wilson
A man who was struck by a car on Airport Boulevard in Wilson Thursday evening has died from his injuries, police said Friday.
Posted — UpdatedWILSON, N.C. — A man who was struck by a car on Airport Boulevard in Wilson Thursday evening has died from his injuries, police said Friday.
Donald Lee Woodard, 56, was hit at the intersection of Airport Boulevard and Buckingham Road just before 6 p.m., police said.
He was taken to Wilson Medical Center and then flown to Pitt County Memorial Hospital, where he died.
Police identified the driver of the Volkswagen Beetle as Ronald Murray, 45. No charges have been filed. The case is still under investigation.
