Man charged with threatening Pinehurst teacher

A Moore County man was arrested Tuesday and charged with threatening a teacher, authorities said.

PINEHURST, N.C. — A Moore County man was arrested Tuesday and charged with threatening a teacher, authorities said.

Domonick Travell Weaver, 34, was charged with communicating threats, assault on a government official and resisting a public officer.

Weaver is accused of threatening a Pinehurst Elementary School teacher in some Facebook posts.

Following an investigation, authorities also filed charges of felony communicating threats, misdemeanor ethnic intimidation and misdemeanor cyberstalking against Weaver, and his bond was increased from $50,000 to $200,000.
