The warrants say that Conyers broke into seven homes under construction in 2007 and stole copper wiring worth $400 from each home. The thefts occurred at site owned by Future Homes in Apex and Luxury Homes and Robuck Homes in Raleigh.

Conyers was being held in the Wake County jail Saturday under a $75,000 bond.

Since 2004, Conyers has been convicted in Wake County of 16 various breaking-and-entering charges, 13 various larceny charges and nine possession of stolen goods charges, according to state Department of Correction records. He has served 3- and 11-month prison sentences.
