Man charged with kidnapping missing woman

Fayetteville police on Thursday charged a 46-year-old man with kidnapping a missing woman from a hotel last Saturday.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Fayetteville police on Thursday charged a 46-year-old man with kidnapping a missing woman from a hotel last Saturday.

Police said that Willie Mack McCoy Jr. kidnapped Denise Jennifer Roberts, 26, from the Courtyard by Marriot hotel, 4192 Sycamore Dairy Road. Roberts was last seen by friends in the parking lot at 10:53 p.m.

McCoy remains at large, and Roberts has not been located.

McCoy is believed to be driving a 1992 silver Mitsubishi Eclipse.

Roberts is described as a black woman, 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighing about 110 pounds, with brown eyes and hair.

McCoy is also wanted on several unrelated outstanding warrants. He was convicted of selling drugs in Cumberland County in 1991, according to state Department of Correction records.
