LOUISBURG, N.C. — A Franklin County man has been charged as an accessory in a murder-suicide at a Louisburg apartment complex two weeks ago, police said Monday.

Gregory Hicks, 29, fatally shot Rose Marie Guzman, 24, and then himself in the Franklin Court apartments, at 119-A Second St., on Dec. 14, police said.

Police said the couple had a history of domestic violence. The night before her death, Guzman reported to police that Hicks had assaulted her at the apartment, but officers couldn't find him to make an arrest.

Ryan Reynolds, 21, has been charged with aiding and abetting a felonious breaking and entering and accessory after the fact.

Investigators said Reynolds knocked on the apartment door on Dec. 14, allowing Hicks to force his way inside once someone opened it. Reynolds left the complex once Hicks was inside, police said.
