Man charged with having pot in court, jail
Correction officers found a bag of marijuana in the mouth of a Goldsboro man being jailed for contempt of court, according to the Wayne County Sheriff's Office.

Capt. Tom Effler said that Andre Lavell Williams, 32, of 1601 K1Cuyler Best Road, was in court Thursday for a child support hearing. The judge held him in contempt of court and ordered him jailed for 24 hours.
An officer at the Wayne County Detention Center found a plastic bag filled with suspected marjuana in Williams' mouth, Effler said.
Williams, who also goes by the alias "Do-Man," was charged with felony possession of a controlled substance in a detention center. He was given a $5,000 secured bond.
Williams, whose criminal record dates to 1998, was most recently convicted of assault inflicting serious bodily injury in 2008, according to state Department of Correction records.
He has past convictions for possession of drugs with intent to sell, maintaining a place for contraband substance, carrying a concealed weapon and assault on a female. DOC records show that he has served one three-month jail sentence for violating probation.
