Man charged with conspiracy in Wake County shooting

Jose Carlos Abarca, 23, 8970 Buffalo Road in Clayton, is charged with felony conspiracy, according to arrest warrants.

WILLOW SPRINGS, N.C. — Investigators have charged a second man in connection with the murder of one of  two men found shot at a Willow Spring home in June.

Jose Carlos Abarca, 23, 8970 Buffalo Road in Clayton, is charged with felony conspiracy, according to arrest warrants. 

Abarca is accused of conspiring with Venustiano Mondragon Lucas, 33, of Raleigh, to kill Roger Trujillo Perez.

Perez, 30, and Agustin Yoni Gonzalez, 26, both of the 2800 block of N.C. Highway 42, were found at Perez' home on June 24.

Abarca was being held in the Wake County jail under a $100,000 bond.
