Man charged in Oxford bank robbery

James Robert Lisenby, 55, was charged with armed robbery and placed in the Granville County jail Wednesday morning under a $250,000 bond.
Investigators said a masked man wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt, baggy pants and white tennis shoes entered the bank around 10:30 a.m. Witnesses reported that the bank robber had a handgun, investigators said, but no one was injured in the robbery.
Police arrested him at a home on Hillsboro Street around 4 a.m., they said, after receiving a tip. Lisenby had been staying there for several months but was not a long-term resident of the area.
