One person was arrested Sunday on suspicion of drunken driving after a traffic accident.

<b>DURHAM, N.C.</b> — One person was arrested Sunday on suspicion of drunken driving after a traffic accident in Durham.

Police said the driver of a small sport utility vehicle tried to make a left turn near Page Road and ended up turning in front of an oncoming pickup truck.

The driver of the pickup truck and a child passenger had minor injuries, authorities said. The child was taken to the hospital for precautionary reasons.

Authorities arrested the driver of the SUV on suspicion of drunk driving.  Officers have not yet released his name.
